People of the blue-green waters

Havasupai is a remote backpacking destination in a side canyon of the Grand Canyon, known for its steep descent and limited access by permit only. The trail leads to a lush desert oasis featuring turquoise waterfalls, red rock walls, and a small campground along Havasu Creek. The land resides on a Native American reservation.

We originally planned for a 4 day trip, but due to weather concerns, we ended up only going down for 2 days (1 night), so we didn’t get to do everything we wanted but we at least were able to salvage some of it.

The waterfalls were in our opinion the best we’ve ever seen, and the water really is that amazing teal color in real life. It was a tough trip (11 miles backpacking one way), but we thought it was totally worth it!
